Rick Parsons

Strategic Planning & Development

Born in New Orleans then attended the University of New Orleans and graduated with a BA in Mass Communication in 1976. Started his 20 year career in Radio as an advertising Account Executive with Insilco Broadcasting and then went into a Sales management position within three years representing broadcast companies including CBS Radio, Taft Broadcasting, and EZ Communications. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1984 to pursue his broadcasting career and became the Director of Sales for duPont Publishing, an international Luxury magazine leading a 30 person sales staff  from 1996 until 2008. Together with his wife Lisa they opened a New Orleans themed restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg in 2009 and was successful in creating a well-respected Creole/Cajun menu which won numerous “Best of the Bay” recognition over the next 8 years. He sold the business in late 2017 and began work as the Community Liaison for the Tampa Based Datz Restaurant Group, developing commercial accounts for the catering departments, in addition to the training and development of their servers.  Some of Rick's other clients have included:
